Our Story

Lancelin Medical Centre is dedicated to delivering reliable, high-quality healthcare services to the rural community. We take pride in supporting individuals and families with comprehensive medical care in a welcoming and professional environment.

Our experienced team offers a wide range of services, including on-site pathology, chronic disease care plans, health assessments, eHealth services, ECG, spirometry, skin checks with cryotherapy, immunisations, travel advice, and minor surgery. We also provide mental health care plans, pregnancy testing and care, mine and pre-employment medicals, driver’s licence medicals, and women’s and men’s health checks.

Dr. Kishani Seneviratne

General Practitioner

Dr. Kishani Seneviratne (Kish) is a friendly and compassionate general practitioner (GP) with over 11 years of clinical experience. She takes pride in building strong relationships with her patients through active listening and providing clear, supportive care.

Originally from Sri Lanka, Dr. Seneviratne graduated from Tianjin Medical University in China in 2010. She spent over eight years working in hospitals across Sri Lanka, gaining valuable experience in general medicine, emergency care, paediatrics, and women’s health.

Since moving to Australia in 2022, she has worked at some of Sydney’s leading hospitals and clinics. Her special interests include women’s health, child health, dermatology, and chronic disease management, and she strongly focuses on improving quality of life, especially for older patients. Dr. Kish enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and two children outside of work.

Dr Adnan Shehzad

General Practitioner

Dr. Adnan Shehzad has experienced the extremes of the Australian healthcare system since arriving here in 2019 – from working in some of Sydney’s busiest hospitals, to now serving the local community as a general practitioner in the beautiful coastal town of Lancelin in Western Australia (WA).

Initially trained in Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Adnan dedicated ten years to his medical education before relocating to New South Wales (NSW) in 2019. His move to Australia marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career.

Well Women and Men’s Health Checks

Well women’s and men’s health checks are comprehensive preventive health assessments tailored to each gender, focusing on early detection of disease, lifestyle risks, and age-appropriate screenings to support long-term health and wellbeing.

Pre-Employment medicals

Pre-employment medicals are health assessments conducted to determine a person’s fitness for a specific job role, helping employers ensure candidates can safely perform required duties and meet workplace health and safety standards.

Pregnancy test and care

Pregnancy testing and care services provide accurate pregnancy testing, confirmation of pregnancy, and ongoing medical support, including early antenatal care, health advice, and referrals to ensure the wellbeing of both mother and baby.

Mental Health Care Plans

Mine Health Assessments

Mine health assessments are specialised medical examinations required for workers in the mining industry to ensure they are medically fit for duty, including physical checks, hearing and vision tests, lung function tests, and review of overall health and safety risks.

Minor Surgery

Minor surgery services involve small, low-risk procedures performed in a clinic setting, such as removal of skin lesions, cysts, or ingrown toenails, using local anaesthesia to ensure safe treatment and quick recovery.

Immunisation and Travel Advice

Immunisation and travel advice services provide recommended vaccinations and personalised health guidance to help protect you from infectious diseases and health risks, both for routine prevention and when travelling locally or overseas.

Spirometry

Spirometry is a simple breathing test that measures how well your lungs work by assessing how much air you can inhale and exhale, and how quickly you can breathe out, helping diagnose and monitor conditions such as asthma and COPD.

Skin Checks – Cryotherapy

Skin checks and cryotherapy involve examining the skin for suspicious or abnormal lesions and treating certain spots, such as warts or sun-damaged and pre-cancerous lesions, by freezing them with liquid nitrogen to safely remove the affected tissue.

ECG

An ECG (electrocardiogram) is a simple, non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of the heart to help detect heart rhythm problems, heart disease, and other cardiac conditions.

eHealth

eHealth services use secure digital technology to deliver healthcare remotely, such as online consultations, electronic prescriptions, and access to medical records, making it easier and more convenient for patients to receive care.

Drivers License Medicals

Driver’s licence medicals are medical examinations required to assess a person’s fitness to drive, ensuring they meet the health and vision standards needed for safe driving, particularly for commercial, senior, or conditional licences.

Health assessments

Health assessments are comprehensive medical check-ups that evaluate your overall health through a review of medical history, physical examination, and relevant tests, helping to detect risks early and guide preventive care and treatment.

On site Pathology

On-site pathology services provide convenient access to diagnostic testing such as blood, urine, and tissue samples, with collections performed at the clinic and results delivered quickly to support timely and accurate medical care.

Skin Cancer Surgery

Skin cancer surgery is a procedure used to treat skin cancer. This surgery involves cutting away thin layers of skin. Each thin layer is looked at closely for signs of cancer. The process keeps going until there are no signs of cancer.
